Welcome to Jimmie Davis Animal Hospital! Our veterinarians and staff are here to provide your pet with the latest, most up-to-date health care available. We strive to stay current with all the latest advances in equipment, medicines, surgical techniques and technology. You are an integral part of your pet’s health care and we invite you to participate with us in keeping your pet it’s healthiest.

Our small animal veterinary hospital has been in operation since October 15, 1985. Located in south Bossier City, Louisiana, we are a full service hospital, providing preventative health care, pharmacy, diagnostics and surgery.Although we no longer have boarding or grooming services on-site, we work closely with reputable groomers and boarding facilities. Ask our staff for their recommendations.

    Maria joined JDAH in July of 2017. She's been in the field of Veterinary Medicine for 3 years. She works as a receptionist and vet assistant. She has a 2 year old daughter named Zoey. Animal care has always been her passion.

    Edan is the newest member of the JDAH family. She's a part-time receptionist and is currently studying at LSUS.  Her family and her have been clients of JDAH since 2000, and it has always been a dream of hers to work here.

    Head Surgical Technician

    Pets: Nigel, Slick and Red Man

    Penny has been at JDAH since 1997 and has advanced from kennel assistant to head surgical technician. She feels veterinary medicine is a very rewarding field of work and loves caring for all animals, especially if they happen to be Dachshunds.

    Pets: Sandy, Millie Grace, Zuko, and Frenchy.

    Casey started working for JDAH in October 2017. She is a mother of 3 and absolutely adores her children. Casey is a vet tech and surgical tech. Casey loves cats and dogs and is always saying her spirit animal is a Chihuahua.

    Pets: Dr.Dupree , Dr.Meier , Penny, Janis, Maria, Casey, and Edan

    Carter joined the JDAH family when he was just a wee kitten.  He has worked his way up from Kennel Inspector to Front Desk Supervisor.  His many skills include kissing the faces of those who need a good licking, holding down the printers when they try to make a run for it and releasing as much hair into the atmosphere as non-humanly possible.  In his spare time he loves to sleep, nap, inspect the back of his eyelids and meditate.

    Delilah joined the JDAH family in 2014 as a newborn kitten.  She runs the back of the practice and enjoys sleeping in her box on the counter.
